About
Facebook is the largest of all social media platforms and one of the most common means of looking for someone online. Whilst many people may have tried Facebook before arriving here, there are a few tools and approaches that can assist you with narrowing your focus.
How do I find someone on Facebook?
The most basic of searches begins with the standard search bar on Facebook. Type in the persons name, hit search or enter and browse the results. If it is a commonly known name you’ll see a list of people and a see all button underneath. Selecting this, or clicking the “People” option in the menu will narrow down the results to only people.
If you select the People option in the menu, you’ll also be presented with a range of filters to help narrow your search. These include Friends of Friends, City, Education and Work.
You may need to select a profile to view the photos and details to determine if you have found the person you are seeking. The thumbnails are fairly small and with several thrown at you at once it isn’t always easy to determine.
