Find a Justice of the Peace QLD
About
The Queensland Government offers two different style searches for JPs and Cdecs. The first is location based and allows you to find a JP or Cdec by suburb or postcode. Results provide the persons full name, suburb, phone number and type (JP (Qual)/C.Dec.
The second is a check to see if a JP or Cdec is registered. This search can be done by first and last names or seal number.
Registrations and resignations are published weekly. This includes all circumstances where a member registered, resigned, was revoked or ceased to be a JP or Cdec. You can browse these lists by year and week. These date back to June 2017.
A JP is the shortened form of Justice of the Peace and C.Dec is short for Commissioner for Declarations.
