About
Jigsaw WA is a not for profit organisation. Founded in 1978, it provides search, mediation and counselling services to those involved with or separated by adoption.
Contact Register
A Contact Register is available through the organisation. It provides a way to reconnect through a dual consent register. If two parties match on the register, then discussion on how to proceed begins. More than 4,500 re-connections have been made. This is thanks to the assistance of the Jigsaw adoption contact register.
As Jigsaw WA is a not for profit organisation, there is a small fee to register. An option to have a full search and an intermediary service may also be applied for.
In addition to the contact register, three additional registers are maintained. Those being a separated family/foster care register, former UK child migrant, and a forgotten Australians or care leavers register.
Additional Jigsaw WA Services
Jigsaw is also able to provide counselling, support and mediation services for those involved with adoption or separated families through foster care, and step families.
Support groups are available and held monthly for birth mothers. Every second month an Adoptee support group meets in Perth.
