Keith Robert Nixon

Last Seen
Keith Robert Nixon has been missing since Thursday, May 30, 1996. He was last seen at the West Beach Caravan Park in South Australia, a location significant to his family due to their long-standing holiday traditions.
Keith, a retired farmer from Victoria, had sold his sheep and wheat farm and was travelling Australia with his wife, Lynette. The couple settled in South Australia intending to retire near their daughter Tricia, who was working in Adelaide at the time. Just days before his disappearance, the family had been finalising plans to purchase a home in Lockleys.
Circumstances Surrounding the Disappearance
On the morning of his disappearance, Keith went about a typical day—he tidied the caravan, withdrew $250 from the bank, and was later seen walking along a trail overlooking the beach by the caravan park’s gardener. However, when Tricia arrived at the caravan park around 12.45 PM, Keith was missing. His wallet, keys, and reading glasses were still inside their caravan, but there was no sign of him.
By that evening, there had been no word from Keith and no evidence of his whereabouts. His family contacted friends, neighbours, and police, prompting an extensive land, sea, and air search. Despite these efforts, no trace of Keith has been found.
